i have been thinking of getting an iPod touch but i was wondering what are some good points and what are the bad ones.
and please dont say ‘just get an iPhone’
also with the wifi thing does it mean if your in a shopping center with wifi or an airport does it mean you can use it there? what are some places with free wifi (australia) but in general i mean

well to be honest, an Ipod touch are great, brilliant MP3 players. really easy to use and you can pretty much get all the app’s that an iphone can get. but I would invest a little bit more to get an i-phone cause that your MP3 player and phone all rolled into one.
also I take it your like every other person in this world and will bring there phone everywhere with them. so you will also bring your music collection with them as well, if you get an I-phone.
in regards wifi, yes that means if your in a hot spot area you can pick up the wifi signal and use the internet, just like you would do at your house.
I really like my iPod Touch but there are times where I wish it was a phone. However, if you have wifi, it can pretty much do the same thing as a phone. There are apps for free calling (skype) and texting, and the headphones have a built-in microphone now, so there’s not a big difference…
Unless there’s no wifi. So if you have wireless in your house, or you go to internet cafes a lot, etc, then I would recommend it. If you don’t get wireless in convenient places, it might not be worth it just to play some games (I mean vs another iPod model…obviously you buy an iPod mainly for music).
Edit: Anywhere there is free, or “unlocked” wifi, you will be able to use the internet.
well places with wifi are not everywhere. and if u are wondering if YOU have wifi you should have a wireless router with a antenna or maybe even to antennas. (you probably already know this but just sayin.) places with wifi usually have signs saying the have wifi. that does not mean your ipod will have a strong connection with the wifi tho. and the ipod touch is the greatest ipod ever. it really is, i love mine, you should get one. just try to get a case asap. o and the only problem with the ipod is that you can’t watch all the vids on youtube (particularly some music vids or vids that have copy righted music in them) and it’s wifi connection may lower sometimes. not a lot tho. mine doesn’t lower it’s connection mosly unless the computer is on. well it doesn’t lower it’s just very slow sometimes. but other than that the ipod touch it great.
